Review: Shadow's Edge by Maureen Lipinski

Summary-
After a lost year spent in the Other Realm of the Cratir, 16-year-old Leah has decided to renounce her powers and attend high school like a normal teenager, but when a mysterious dark force starts killing the Cratir, she must choose between her new life and helping stop the murder spree.

Review-
I like this book a lot. It is not your typical Faerie story. The plot is rich & full & has a life of it's own. A very easy book to get yourself lost in. I particularly liked the way this author played the Light & Dark off of each other. The book also has a lot of other mystical, magical creatures thrown in for good measure. The main character is a funny, caring young lady just trying to be a normal teenager. The author shows that sometimes what you want is not necessarily what you need. The supporting cast is as wonderful and quirky as the main character. They really add a lot to the bigger picture. A different kind of "Faerie Tale". Very entertaining & enjoyable.
